History of The Inn
This popular historic bed and breakfast in New Bern, North Carolina was built by Alexander Meadows in 1847. At the time, Meadows owned and operated a grist mill, a shipyard, and a fertilizer company.
Changes came about with new ownership. For example, the home increased in size between 1898 and 1904. Several of the original (late Federal Greek Revival) mantels remain. An attractive (late Victorian) stairway remains. In addition, there are mantels and trim typical of this time period.
