Celebrate the holidays throughout the year with your B&B guests. Innkeepers can be creative with how they observe annual festivities. This also encourages visitors to return. Innkeepers may choose to celebrate less common holidays, like Arbor Day, for example.
Special Holiday Ties
The more you can tie your local area to a holiday, the more attractive you will be to guests. For example, be sure to do something special for Groundhog’s Day if you are located near “The Weather Capital of the World” (in Punxsutawney, Philadelphia). Likewise, places to stay in New Orleans go all out when it comes to Mardi Gras festivities.
Alternatively, your inn may have a special tie to a particular holiday. For example, Certified Green Leaders may celebrate Earth Day at their accommodations in April. Perhaps your inn is rumored to be haunted, so you host a special event each Halloween.
